Bucky™ PR is UW-Madison’s first and only student-run PR firm. We offer complimentary promotional services for organizations and businesses by adopting real clients and assisting them in creating campaigns and promoting their businesses. As a subset of UW-Madison’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) organization, we offer our members the chance to gain practical experience in public relations and marketing through both traditional and modern promotional tactics. We provide a means for members to practice and cultivate their communication skills as they work with other students in a professional setting, preparing them for their future profession.

As of December 6, 2013, BuckyTM PR received national affiliation recognition by its professional liaison, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). As BuckyTM PR’s parent organization, PRSA recognizes only the most accomplished student-run public relations firms. As detailed on PRSSA’s national website: “Though there are more than 100 student-run firms around the country operated PRSSA Chapters, only those among the upper echelons are PRSSA nationally affiliated. Firms with this designation have successfully gone through an application process to ensure the firm is soundly based in three areas: a solid PRSSA/PRSA connection, a high level of professionalism and an effective structure.”
